Home Insurance

It’s important to have proper limits and coverage in place.

The four major protections in a homeowners insurance policy are:
Building coverage - pays to repair or rebuild your home if it’s damaged by a peril

covered in the policy.
Contents coverage - pays for personal possessions lost as a result of a covered disaster.
Liability coverage - pays for injuries or property damage you or your family members

cause other people, on or off your premises.
Additional Living Expense coverage - pays for the cost of living away from home when

your house is temporarily uninhabitable because of a covered peril.

Some additional coverage endorsements available to enhance your homeowners insurance are:

  • Sewer Backup and Sump Pump Overflow.
  • Inflation Guard.
  • Guaranteed Replacement Cost.
  • Identity Theft coverage.

Flood Insurance

Typical homeowner insurance policies do not cover damages caused by floods.

We offer National Flood Insurance Program "NFIP" flood insurance policies.

A "NFIP" policy is backed by the federal government and covers:

  • Overflow from a lake or tidal water.
  • Runoff of surface water.
  • Flood related mudslides from a mudflow.
  • Erosion caused by flooding.

NOTE: Flood insurance does not cover sewer backup and sump pump overflow.
